DESCRIPTION:
|
While preparing this image the artist made thirteen preliminary Fashion-plate studies which
share teh same printed background on which compositions of female features from
deconstructed heads found in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Queen are collaged, and hand
painted in cosmetics by the artist, from which he selected this image for the final print. The
Fashion-plate image as editioned includes collage images of Jean Shrimpton and Penelope
Tree, two of the most glamorous models ot the day.
