DESCRIPTION:

Born in Ipigua, Sao Paulo, in 1936.
She spent part of her childhood in the fields, where she lived and closely observed the field workers at their daily tasks of plowing the land.
After moving to Sao Paulo she took a course in Marketing and Advertising and afterwards at the Folklore School where she had the opportunity of research the Brazilian Traditional Festivities.
She began to publicly exhibit her paintings in 1969 transporting to her canvases the Brazilian folklore.
