1849   Born in St Petersburg
1873   First exhibition at the Paris Salon. Shows his work publicly until 1929
1889   Awarded with a gold medal from the Society of French Artists
1889   Awarded with a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition
1910 - 1929   Exhibitions at Sociéte Nationale des Beaux Arts
  Founding member and vice president of the Sociéte Nationale des Beaux Arts, where he exhibited between 1910 and 1929.
  The work of Jean Béraud is represented in museums in Liège, Lille, Tours and Troyes, France
  Son of a French Sculptor
  Moved to Paris to complete his law studies at the Lycée Bonaparte
  Studied at the studio of Léon Bonnat for two years, after his military service
