DESCRIPTION:
|
Echo is one of Anish Kapoor’s early works and consists of a five part set of sculptural music boxes, made up of different shapes and materials. He collaborated with the well-known composer Brian Elias on the work, designing the pieces that carry Elias’ music to the viewer’s ears. As the clockwork mechanisms wind down, the sculptures play haunting notes which echo from one sculpture to the next, creating an ethereal, glittering polyphony.
