From the Story of Judith and depicting the ornately clad Judith being brought before Holfernes by his soldiers, the border woven with fruiting garlands alternating with scallop shells and lions marks at the angles, the upper central border inscribed JVDITHFVGITIVA HOLFERNAN ASTVTE DECIPIT ET SPECIOSAM VICTORIAM PROMITTIT, the selvedge woven with Brussels town mark and the weavers inscription H.REYDAMS
Heinrich Reydams, recorded as working in Brussels 1665-1719.
