Imitate Modern brings the Who’s Who of street art to Marylebone. This is the one off opportunity to see a unique collection of nine of the most highly acclaimed graffiti artists in one space.
Banksy is infamous in the underground and commercial scene. Stik was catapulted into the limelight from the underground urban art scene when he first exhibited at Imitate Modern, with his incredible story of moving from homelessness to huge success when he produced work for the Q Awards and produced a personal mural for Queen star, Brian May. Rich Simmons had huge success with his most recent exhibition; he bases his work around the ‘Art Is The Cure’ campaign that he started to bring people out of the isolation that he suffers from himself with autism.
Goldie has been lesser known for his art, and more for his music and films, but Imitate Modern brings his work to you, having previously exhibited in Shoreditch, Berlin, and Ibiza. Fin DAC is easily recognisable across the Urban Art scene as one of the biggest names in graffiti. Often stylised as MBW, Mr Brainwash is connected to a family of street artists, including Banksy, who he pays homage to by using famous figures and graphic design techniques.
Cept is a London based graffiti artist whose art continuously appears across London. Todd James is a self-taught contemporary artist from New York, who has exhibited in Belgium, Spain, Australia, France and Denmark, but returns to London now for this one off show.
This is a truly unique exhibition that will launch on December 6th and open to the public the following day.
