In this exhibition, the artist revisits his Tuscan experience of twenty years ago. Seeing again the rolling hills, panoramic curving pathways aligned with cypress trees and scattered towns, Philip has produced a series of canvases that capture the essence of this historic countryside. In paintings, "Montepulciano" and "Tuscan Landscape" soft muted colours, golden light and reduced abstracted forms create a fresh and vibrant immediacy. "Street Cafe, Siena" and "Florentine Waiters" paintings entice the viewers to participate and enjoy the cafe world.
Please note that all paintings are subject to pre-sale as the works have now arrived in the gallery and are ready for viewing. If you have an interest in any of the works listed in the exhibition, please let us know at your earliest convenience.
With kindest regards,
