Das Kunst-Event im März: Die große Arroyo-Ausstellung in der Hamburger Galerie Levy
Zum 75. Geburtstag des spanischen Künstlers Eduardo Arroyo präsentiert Galerie LEVY eine Ausstellung mit 150 Werken aus seiner Schaffenszeit von 1975 - 2011.
Eduardo Arroyo gilt als einer der profiliertesten internationalen Künstler, dessen Arbeiten unter anderem auf der Biennale von Venedig, im Guggenheim Museum New York, im Centre Pompidou in Paris und im Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid präsentiert und gewürdigt wurden; darüber hinaus hat er sich als Schriftsteller und Theatermacher einen Namen gemacht. Erst Ende 2011 wurde ein von Eduardo Arroyo verfasster Kunstführer über den Prado, Madrid veröffentlicht. Zudem wird Arroyo im Juni 2012 als dritter lebender Künstler nach Francis Bacon und Cy Twombly mit einem eigenen Raum im Prado geehrt.
Die Ölbilder, Papierarbeiten und Skulpturen zeigen eine auf- und anregende Schau des Multitalents. Zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung am 19. März 2012 wird der Künstler persönlich anwesend sein, weitere Stationen folgen anschließend in Wien, München und Frankfurt. Im Kerber Verlag erscheinen ein umfangreicher Katalog sowie eine Collectors Edition in limitierter Auflage.

THE ART EVENT IN MARCH: A BIG ARROYO EXHIBITION IN THE LEVY GALLERY IN
HAMBURG
In honour of the 75th birthday of the Spanish artist Eduardo Arroyo,
the LEVY Gallery will present an exhibition with 150 works from his
creative period from 1975 - 2011.
Eduardo Arroyo is considered one of the most distinguished
international artists. His works have been presented and celebrated
for example at the Venice Biennale, in the Guggenheim Museum New
York, Centre Pompidou in Paris and Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in
Madrid; in addition, he made a name for himself as a writer and
theatre-maker. Recently, at the end of 2011, an art guide written by
Eduardo Arroyo about the Prado in Madrid was published. Furthermore,
after Francis Bacon and Cy Twombly, in July 2012 Arroyo, will be
honoured with an exhibition at the Prado Museum.
The oil paintings, works on paper and sculptures combine to make a
fascinating and inspiring exhibition by the multi-talent. The artist
himself will attend the exhibition on 19th March 2012. The
exhibition will then travel to Vienna, Munich and Frankfurt. An
extensive catalogue will be published by the Kerber Verlag, as well
as a limited collector’s edition.
