Oil Paintings onf Canvas
Over 22 years of painting in the Pacific Northwest, Z. Z. Wei has captured the essence of his surroundings in his oil paintings. Since beginning his career in the Pacific Northwest with an art residency at Whitman University in Walla Walla, Z. Z. has painted the rolling wheat fields, wide open and hauntingly empty spaces, solitary farms on a hill, empty winding roads with a single vintage car or truck, trees with foreboding shadows or a lone bicyclist all reminencent of America's vast farm country.
Alfred Currier
Oil Impasto Paintings
Alfred Currier is well known for his oil impasto paintings of landscapes of the Skagit Valley region in Washington State where he lives. He uses brillant color with strong textures, capturing depth and perspective in his paintings as he builds upon layers with mixtures of permeating colors. Alfred also paints series of smaller plein air oil paintings on location.
