(5) Joannes [Jan] Galle
(b Antwerp, bapt 27 Sept 1600; d Antwerp, 20 Dec 1676). Engraver, publisher and print dealer, son of (2) Theodor Galle. He became a master in the Antwerp Guild of St Luke in 16278 and its dean in 16389. Although various engravings have been attributed to him, he was probably only their publisher. However, engravings after Rubenss Crucifixion (Hollstein, no. 2) and All Saints Day (Hollstein, no. 5) are definitely by him.
